Dodge Disappointment

A disastrous two innings of pitching last night prevented the Dodgers from claiming their first Series Titles since '88, but they still deserve to be commended for such an excellent season. As one of the winningest coaches in any sport - the late John Wooden - asserted, "Success is final, failure is never fatal. It's courage that counts." Learning to quickly cope with disappointment & move on is a vital skill for any seasoned athlete - or sports fan - or student.

Just as quarterbacks in The NFL are taught to have "short-term memory" it is an important trait to have as a student to be able to bounce back from that 50% you received on your U.S. government test last week. Don't let a poor grade discourage you or set you off track - it's important to always look to improve and move forward.
